The racecourse was opened on May 7, 1876. In 1908 the architect Louis Faure-Dujarric replaced the original buildings and turned them into example of the classic French style of the 17TH century. One of the most frequent visitors of the Palermo Hippodrome was the mythical Carlos Gardel, who was the owner of the “Lunático” horse , ridden by the famous Uruguayan jockey Irineo Leguisamo.

The property offers many options for all tastes: shows polo, casino, shopping and gastronomic festivals that add to a variety of gastronomic offers.
