Calle Florida: Shopping pedestrian street

With a strategic location the Esplendor By Wyndham Buenos Aires is the ideal stop for those looking to explore this stunning city. From there, just a few meters, it is possible to walk through Florida Street, the first pedestrian street in the country and one of the most commercial.

This pedestrian flows through the neighborhoods of San Nicolas and Retiro and extends from North to South, beginning in the Rivadavia Avenue (near Plaza de Mayo) and ends ten blocks where San Martín Square is located.

This street is filled with galleries and venues with a wide variety of accessories, libraries (like El Ateneo) and art shops and crafts. Products of fur and leather businesses stand out.

In the pedestrian Florida also operate fast food shops, ice cream shops and traditional cafés, including the Florida Garden Café, where tourists mingle with merchants and office workers. In Galería Jardín, located in Florida 537, are concentrated most of the premises of sale of electronic technology and accessories products of the city.

To take into account, most of the shops in the pedestrian Florida open their doors from Monday to Sunday from 10 to 20 hs. Some of the brands you’ll find in this street are Dexter (sports), El Mundo del Juguete, Falabella, Fravega, Levi´s, Mega Sports, Prune, Puma, Solo Deportes and Zara.

On Florida Street is located Galerías Pacifico, an elegant shopping centre which has in its interior murals of great Argentine artists, and whose hallmark is to be located in a building built in 1894 and Declared Historical Monument National.
